KNIT CAFE ®

I am like so many of you who come into my store. My grandmother taught me how to knit when I was seven years old. I made a few very "interesting" headbands and then lost my needles... for about 25 years!

After a long career as a television executive at CBS, I decided to stay home and raise my children. It was THEN that I taught myself how to knit and crochet... and yes, I became addicted. Every morning I dropped my kids off at school and stopped at Starbucks for tea and knitting. I searched high and low for a place where I could listen to music, talk with friends, be surrounded by beautiful colorful yarn and out of the box ideas. I finally decided to create that place.

To my surprise, Knit Cafe® turned out to be better than anything I had ever imagined. Why? Because of the wonderful crazy cast of characters that stumble through that front door every day! Their stories... their ideas... their peculiarities... their differences... their sweetness... AND their happiness at having a home away from home to share in something they love doing.

If you're in the neighborhood drop by.
